We offer 30km of prepared cross-country trails in Maran, at the 'Prätschalp / Ochsenalp' (panorama trail), in the 'Isel' and on the Obersee lake (only if the ice is thick enough).
Cross-country skiing lessons (private / groups) can be booked at the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School, point of sale in Ausserarosa and at the cross-country skiing and snow shoe centre Geeser.
Equipment and ski service is available at Carmenna Sport and at the cross-country skiing and snow shoe centre Geeser.

Visit the diversity of the Bündner flora at a guided tour through the Alpine Garden Maran. During the summer months Arosa Tourism offers guided tours every Tuesday at 2.30pm (16.06.2015 - 01.09.2015).
Meeting point is the bus stop "Maran". The tour is free of charge, no registration necessary.

Unterseestrasse 7050 Arosa
Discover the naturally made lake and its beach like surroundings for swimming and relaxing. The entry is free with the all-inclusive Arosa card.
The lake is open during the whole summer season (June - October)
It offers plenty of entertainment for adults and children alike:

The modern and charming lakeside restaurant with a big sun terrasse offers culinary delights, refreshing drinks and ice creams.
On the well-known Squirrel Path, your children can not only feed the cute little animals but also solve a riddle which is displayed on the information panels. The path begins next to the hotel BelArosa at the crossing on Tomeli Strasse (in front of the Waldhotel National) and ends at the Maran bus stop. It's fun for everyone – not just the little ones!
The story is also available as a picture book for CHF 13.00.
Rope Park Arosa
The rope park Arosa is the only rope park in Switzerland that is part of an all-inclusive offer and is therefore free of charge for every overnight staying guest in Arosa.
The rope park is located amid natural trees in the woods of the „Waldfestwiese“. With a bit of courage, skills and physical exercise, the seven different courses guarantee a unique experience for everyone. Even our youngest guests (4-9 years) have two separate courses with a continuous security system that ensures fun and excitement for the whole family.
Boat, Pedalo & Stand up Paddle rental at Obersee lake Arosa
Relax and let your soul drift away amid stunning mountain scenery on the Obersee lake, Arosa.
Hire a rowing boat, a pedalo or a trendy stand up paddle and enjoy a ride on the idyllic lake adjacent to the train station Arosa. The boats are free of charge* with an Arosa Card.
The boat house is within walking distance of the train station.
*Please note that every guest who would like to hire a pedalo has to present an Arosa Card. Single tickets for pedalo hire are not available.
Driving Range Fee
To practice your swing or to try golfing for the first time - the driving range facilities of the golf course Arosa are open to Golf-pros and beginners alike. The usage is included in the Arosa Card; Golf ball tokens and club rental is not included. Tokens: CHF 5.00 for 30 golf balls. Please present your Arosa Card at the Golf Club office. Children / teenagers under the age of 18 years need to be accompanied by adults.
Chipping Golf - the new outdoor fun thing to do in Arosa
Are you familiar with Mini Golf? Imagine Mini Golf outside in nature amidst hiking trails and meadows, instead of the nicely prepared lanes. Now, that is Chipping Golf!
The rules are simple and the game is made for families. The goal is to reach the selected sign boards (target mark / flag) with as little strokes as possible.
Venture on to the ice! The ice rink is open daily (usually from end of June) from 1.30 p.m. to 4.45 p.m.* for public ice skating. The entrance fee is included in the Arosa Card.
Ice skate's rental costs CHF 6.00 per person.
* Please check the ice practice timings at the ice sports hall and the Arosa Tourism Office. Depending on training camps the schedule may vary.
Ice Hockey Camps - Ochsner Hockey Academy
The Ochsner Hockey Academy is a national training program for ice hockey players and kids of all ages.
Every year, mostly during summer holidays Arosa hosts numerous ice hockey camps of the highest quality level.
Arosa ski resort has over 225 km of ski-slopes, 60 km of winter walking paths and 25 km of cross country skiing tracks all for the enjoyment of our guests. The mountain cable car company "Arosa Bergbahnen" is responsible for all the ski lifts and cable cars.

Alpine Dairy Maran
The Alpine Dairy Maran has been producing cheese and other specialities from the milk that is produced right here in the alps for around 40 years. There is a small shop where they sell their products. You are also welcomed to stay for a while to enjoy the sunshine and delicious food on their terrace. Some of the products they offer include different cheeses, yoghurt, cream, butter, goats cheese and more. Why not stop by and try some for yourself. All the products are made from fresh milk from the cows that graze on the mountain sides.

Why not discover the solar system on a thrilling trail here in Arosa. The Planet Trail, which is on a scale of 1:2.8 billion, allows you to explore some of the secrets of our solar system and gain an impression of its vast relative distances. The sun and its planets are represented as models, complete with information panels. Starting point: 'Prätschli' bus final station; direction: Rot Tritt; distance: 2.2 km.
Start Isel Natural History Walk
Would you like to find out about Arosa's interesting history, or how the town gets its water and electricity supplies? Or do you simply want to discover the region's amazing botanical and geological diversity for yourself? Take the natural history footpath through the Isel to the Altein waterfall and back to the reservoir lake. This is a possible option even in bad or wet weather conditions.
Hiking Trail of Legends
Would you like to find out more about Arosa's fascinating legends? A special hiking map including an anthology of all the legends of Arosa and the surrounding area is available at the Arosa Tourism Office for CHF 9.00
Learning Trail "Protection.Forest.Humans"
This trail puts the whole family in touch with nature and follows the two main keynotes of "the world in motion" and "the world moves". Special sign posts introduce hikers to the "occurrences". You will be asked to guess, judge, suspect, follow, grasp, observe and simply enjoy the beauty of nature. The trail leads mostly through the forest. It starts by the Arosa "Untersee" lake and ends at the train station in the village "Langwies". The Arosa Card will allow you to easily take the train back to Arosa from there for free. Information on the different topics are illustrated on the sign posts. You can purchase the book of the Learning Trail from the tourist information in Arosa for CHF 3.00.
Enjoy the views from the Arosa Weisshorn at 2653m. above sea level. You can either walk to the summit along marked trails or let the Arosa - Weisshorn gondola cable car carry you up for free with the Arosa Card.
From the top of the Weisshorn, you can look out over more than 400 mountain peaks of Switzerland and neighbouring countries. You can also see all the way down to Chur, Switzerland's oldest town. The 'Hörnli' peak also offers wonderful views, especially to the highest mountains in the Arosa region. The 'Erzhorn' (emblem mountian) and the 'Parpaner Weisshorn', which is nearly 3000 meters high. The view to 'Langwies?, on the other hand, is rugged and refined all at once.
Why not find your own facourite viewpoint for yourself? As you will notice, many people, from near and far, have donated benches to mark their favourite spot - more than 400 benches invite you to sit and enjoy the view for a while.
Picnics in the wild are unforgettable experiences. In the Arosa region you will find plenty of barbecue areas equipped with wood, grills and sometimes tables and benches. That leves room in your rucksack for more exciting things.

Please take your garbage away with you after your picnic, so that the next visitors can enjoy the barbecue area just as much as you have.
For an action-packed day, you can rent a motocross bike and discover the fun side of biking in the mountains.
A paradise for our youngest guests in Arosa
The indoor playground 'Bärenhöhle' offers plenty of fun for the whole family especially in bad weather conditions. There is a ball pit, a tower to climb with a big slide, a bouncy castle, bobby cars, other vehicles and much more to have fun with. While the children are playing parents and chaperons can enjoy a snack in the cafeteria on the gallery.

Hire a kick scooter, take it with you in the gondola to the Weisshorn middle station and enjoy a fun ride back to the village via the Arlenwald trail. Why not make a stop at one of the restaurants along the road? You will be surprised of the culinary diversity.
Kick scooters can be rented at the Arosa tourism office (entrance by the ice rink) from Monday to Sunday between 8.30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Supervised kids program
The Arosa JUNIOR Club supervised kids program offers a wide range of exciting activities. A visit to the fire brigade or police station is bound to appeal to any child - or simply have fun with activities such as painting, arts and crafts, playing hide-and-seek and ball games, making discoveries and listening to stories.
